Greens Maintenance 13th & 14th October
 
Dear Member,
 
On Wednesday 13th October we will be carrying out maintenance to the Greens. We will have a contractor onsite scarifying Greens to a depth of 15-20mm removing as much organic matter/thatch as possible. We will also be overseeding fescue into the greens and finishing off with a sand top dressing before brushing and rolling the Greens. 
This work will start this at first light on Wednesday and, all going to plan, have everything completed by lunchtime on Thursday. Temporary Greens will be in play whilst we carry out this work on each green. 
 
This is a vital procedure to remove a build-up of organic matter in our top 20mm, and replacing this with sand will help maintain the firm smooth surfaces we produce throughout the year.
