Founded in 1856, Dunbar Golf Club is one of Scotland’s oldest and most storied links. Golf has been played over this remarkable stretch of East Lothian coastline for nearly 170 years — through changing fashions, world events and generations of members who have shaped the Club’s character. 

Today, we are writing the next chapter in that history. 

As part of a once-in-a-generation redevelopment, Dunbar is delivering a new clubhouse, practice facilities, driving range and 9-hole course, ensuring that our championship links continues to thrive for decades to come. 

While construction progresses, we are operating from a purpose-built temporary clubhouse — and we look forward to welcoming you. 

Visiting During Our Redevelopment 

We are currently operating from high-quality temporary clubhouse facilities, designed to ensure your visit remains welcoming, comfortable and enjoyable. 

What to Expect: 

• A heated, weatherproof clubhouse space 
• Lounge and bar area with seating 
• Hot and cold food and drink service 
• Pro Shop 
• Toilet facilities and changing provision 
• Full access to the Championship Links course 

While the setting is temporary, our standards of hospitality are not. You will receive the same warm welcome that Dunbar has always offered. Clear signage and staff guidance will ensure smooth arrival, parking and access to the first tee.
